[vidaXL] vidaXL product synchronization
The vidaXL plugin allows you to synchronize products in your webshop. The products are updated in real time when something changes in the vidaXL feed. In this article we explain how the synchronization works and what you need to pay attention to.
configuring the settings
To start the synchronization, navigate to the plugin settings and open the Synchronization tab. Here, you will need to configure the feed language, which determines both the language of the feed and the language of the products after import.
Fetching the categories may take some time, so please refresh the page every few minutes.
After the categories are collected, you can start selecting the (sub)categories which you would like to import.
To begin the synchronization, go to the plugin settings and select the Synchronization tab. Here, you’ll need to choose the feed language, which will define both the language of the feed and the language of the products after they are imported.
Fetching the categories may take a few minutes, so it’s recommended to refresh the page periodically.
Once the categories have been loaded, you can start choosing the specific (sub)categories you wish to import from the list that appears.
If you completed the above steps, you will need to configure the synchronization settings before starting the sync. Below I will walk through the settings:
General settings
- Send orders: You have here the option to:
a. Automatically when order status is processing - Orders will be send automatically after receiving the processing status
b. Automatically when order status is completed - Orders will be send automatically after receiving the completed status
c. Disable this, I will do it manually - Orders that are coming in, wil not be send to vidaXL automatically.
- Preserve stock offset: With this setting you actually specify that a certain amount of stock should be removed, to prevent you from selling out-of-stock products.
- Set products as draft: This setting will set products are new imported, as draft. This prevents those products to be automatically published
- shipment tracking code via email: Enable this setting to include shipment tracking code to the email customers receive after completing an order
- Trash unavailable products: This setting will put products in the trash section, instead of deleting them.
- Manual refund orders: As the setting states, this setting allows you to send the orders manually.
- Remove vidaXL brand: With this setting the products will not include the vidaXL branding in front the products
- Import product variations: With this setting you can enable variations to be imported, and correctly created under a parent product.
Filters:
In this section you can set up a min. and max. import price, this way our plugin will only import products within the range you set up.
The out of stock setting, is to skip out of stock products in the feed. This way you will asure that all products you import will have stock.
Price
In this section of settings, you can set up:
Use a price: Choose here with which base price you would like to import the products
Addition percentage value to B2B price: set up if you want to add a percentage on top of the import price of products
Addition fixed value to B2B price: set up if you want to add a percentage on top of the import price of products
Rounding up: If you want to round up your prices, you can define how this is rounded up
Tax
this setting is not relevant if you make use of tax settings in the WooCommerce settings. Otherwise, you will need to give up a tax rate.
Product information
On the hand of toggle switches, you can enable- or disable which dimension you want to be updated through the synchronization.
Starting the synchronization
If you've set up everything mentioned above, the last thing is to press the big orange button Start synchronization!
