In this article, we answer a frequently asked question regarding the types of listings you can create. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to post normal (free or standard private) advertisements on Marktplaats using our Marktplaats WooCommerce plugin.
Why the plugin only supports Admarkt listings
The plugin is designed specifically for automated business inventory syncing and utilizes the professional side of the marketplace infrastructure:
API Restrictions: Marktplaats does not offer a public API or connection gateway for free, standard consumer accounts.
Designed for Automation: The plugin connects exclusively to Marktplaats Admarkt (Marktplaats Zakelijk). This business system allows for real-time stock updates, price synchronization, and automated Cost-per-Click (CPC) advertising management that standard listings do not support.
If you wish to place standard, non-commercial ads, you will need to list them manually through a private consumer account directly on the Marktplaats website.
