Install the VidaXL app
Before we can get started, we need to find the VidaXL app in the Shopify App Store.
In the Shopify App Store, search for VidaXL
Choose the one developed by Woosa
Click on Install
You can fully use and test the app for 30 days for free! Important: after 30 days, you'll automatically be billed and the subscription will start.
Authorize the app with your VidaXL B2B account
After you install the app, we need to authorize it with your VidaXL B2B account. If you don't have an account with VidaXL yet, please visit DropshippingXL.com.
Please make sure you are logged in to your Shopify store.
Go to Apps > vidaXL Dropshipping
In the Home tab and under the VidaXL API access header, we need the following credentials from your VidaXL B2B account:
Email (The email address used to connect to your VidaXL account)
API key (The API key from the VidaXL account)
After filling in the details, finally, click on Submit
The app is now authorized with your VidaXL B2B account!
Select the feed language and categories
We can now start with selecting the feed language and the desired categories.
In the VidaXL app settings, go to Sync settings
From there, click on the dropdown under the Categories header
Choose the feed language
Click on Click to load/refresh category tree to load the category list (this may take a few minutes)
After the category list has loaded, select the desired categories
Lastly, click on Save category selection
You successfully selected the feed language and the desired categories, which you'll later import products from.
Configure the synchronization settings
Before we start importing the products into your store, let's go over to the synchronization settings and configure them to your satisfaction.
In the VidaXL app settings, go to Sync settings. Underneath the header Settings, we have a few options to configure for our products. Let's go over them and explain them:
General
Always keep imported products up to date
Automatically publish new products to Online Store sales channel during import
Use logistic weight when importing products (only applicable for Australian locale)
Remove "vidaXL" at the beginning of product title
Selling price settings
Choose how the price will be defined in your shop. Please note that in case there are products that do not have the selected price type available, then the B2B price will be used with the additional value you defined.
Added percentage to B2B price (fill in any percentage)
Added fixed amount to B2B price (fill in any fixed amount)
Use advice price (The recommended VidaXL selling price)
Import filters
Use filters to limit the products that should be retrieved and synced from the feed.
Minimum B2B Price
Maximum B2B Price
Out of stock products
Exclude
Set to draft
Product information updates
Select what product information should be updated every time it changes in the feed.
Overwrite title with value from VidaXL
Overwrite description with value from VidaXL
Overwrite images with values from VidaXL
Overwrite price with value from VidaXL
Overwrite product type with value from VidaXL
Overwrite vendor with value from from VidaXL
After going through all the settings and configuring them, we can start an import.
Start the product import
Let's begin importing VidaXL products to your Shopify store!
In the app settings, go to the Product Import tab
Before starting an import, consider enabling the option Advanced option: merge with existing products based on SKU and Barcode to prevent duplicate SKUs
Finally, click on Import products
Under the header Current import status, you'll see Task in progress. Here you can monitor the import progress and errors if there are any.
