Connecting to Markplaats Pro

Go to the account tab.
Click on Connect. You will now be redirected to the Marktplaats website.
Here you need to log in to connect the app with your Markplaats account.

Settings

On the setting page, you will find the default settings for your ads.
You can still adjust this per product when. When configured correctly this will speed up your process of creating ads.

  1. Go to 'Products' and click on the relevant product to open the product view.

  2. Select 'More actions'

  3. Select 'Marktplaats product settings'

  4. Adjust the settings for this product.

Let's go over all the settings.

Vanity URL:

This URL will be shown on your ads instead of your product URL.
When people click on the link they will still go to you product URL.

Price Type

Marktplaats offers different price types (e.g. a fixed price or a negotiable price). The general setting of the price type will make sure this price type will be used as default for each advertisement, that has been published from WooCommerce to Marktplaats Pro.


Seller name

Which seller name would you like to show on the Marktplaats advertisement? In the case of a company, we would suggest you use the company name.

Shipping Type

Marktplaats offers two (2) ways of shipping the product:

  • Pickup
    This means the person who is buying this product, can pick it up at a location of your preference. In case you choose this option an input field will appear, where you can fill in the location.

  • Ship
    This means you as a seller will ship the product to the location of the buyer its preference.

Shipping costs

What are the cost you want to list for the shipping.

Shipping TIme

State how fast the shipment will be done.

Shipping pickup location

Fill a location where the products can be picked up.

Category mapping

When publishing an advertisement, it is mandatory to choose a category. The category mapping functionality saves you time, since you can connect Shopify collections to Marktplaats categories.

For example; Marktplaats uses the following category structure:

  • Electronics & Computer

    • Keyboards

    • Mouses

    • Accessoires

You can easily connect this with an own structure of Shopify collections, like the example below.

  • Electronics & Computer > Computer

    • Keyboards > Keyboards & Mouses

    • Mouses > Keyboards & Mouses

    • Accessoires > Accessoires

Cost per Click

Cost per Click (CPC) is the business model of Marktplaats Pro. This means when someone clicks on your website URL from a Marktplaats advertisement, you will pay a couple of cents. The exact amount is decided by a couple of parameters, such as: category, popularity of product and competitors.

The maximum CPC can be configured in the category mapping setting. If your CPC is to low, it can happen that your advertisement will not be shown to often, because other competitors are having a higher CPC. Choose therefore wise, what you would like to spend on a click and potential sale.
