How to remove the "vidaXL" prefix from the product title?

Removing supplier branding from your imported catalog gives your product titles a cleaner, more professional look in your webshop. Our integration includes a built-in toggle to trim this prefix automatically.

Introduction

Since update 2.1.0, we have included an automated setting in our plugin that allows you to strip supplier prefix branding from imported product titles.

By default, imported products may include "vidaXL" at the beginning of the title. In this article, we explain how to enable the setting that automatically removes this prefix across your store.

How to exclude the prefix from product titles

You can enable this option directly within your plugin preferences in just a few clicks:

  1. Log into your WordPress backend.

  2. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings.

  3. Click on the DropXL tab and select Settings.

  4. Locate and check the option: "exclude 'DropXL' from product title" (or exclude 'vidaXL' from product title).

  5. Scroll to the bottom and click Save changes.

Once saved, newly imported products will automatically omit the prefix from their titles, keeping your webshop catalog clean and consistent!
