Introduction

The Woosa bol.com plugin uses the official bol.com Retailer API to synchronize your products, orders, and stock. To enable this communication, you need to generate specific API credentials—known as a Client ID and a Client Secret—within your bol.com seller dashboard and add them to your WordPress settings.

Step 1: Generating your Client ID & Secret

Before configuring the plugin, you must retrieve your credentials from the bol.com partner platform. Follow these steps to generate them:

  1. Log in to your bol.com seller account.

  2. Click on your Company Name in the top right corner and select Settings.

  3. Navigate to the API Settings section.

  4. Scroll down to the Client Credentials header and click the Create button.

  5. Enter a name for the API user (e.g., "WooCommerce") and click Yes, add.

  6. Your Client ID is now visible. Click on Show Secret to reveal your Client Secret.

Step 2: Authorizing the plugin in WordPress

Now that you have your API credentials, you can link them to your webshop via the plugin settings:

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

  2. In the side menu, navigate to bol.com -> Settings.

  3. Click on the Authorization tab.

  4. Paste the Client ID and Client Secret you generated in Step 1 into the corresponding fields.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.

  6. Finally, click the button Click to authorize.

Verification

Once you have clicked authorize, the system will validate the credentials. If the connection is successful:

  • The status of the authorization will switch to: Authorized

  • Your shop is now fully linked to your bol.com account.

  • You'll receive acces to the full settings of the plugin, after authorizing the plugin.
