Introduction

To sell successfully on bol.com, your product data must meet specific requirements. Our plugin allows you to manage these "parameters"—such as pricing, shipping times, and product conditions—directly from your WordPress dashboard. Understanding these settings is key to maintaining a high seller rating and ensuring your stock stays synchronized.

1. Actions

The "Action" parameter determines what command the plugin sends to bol.com regarding a specific WooCommerce product.

  • Publish: Used when a product is not yet listed on bol.com.

  • Pause: Labels the product as "Not for Sale" on bol.com without deleting the data.

  • Update Price: Syncs a new price from WooCommerce to the marketplace.

  • Delete: Completely removes the listing from the bol.com platform.

  • Upload content: This is for new/unique products to publish them for the first time.

2. Pricing & Shipping Costs

Bol.com requires you to offer "free shipping" to the end customer. To maintain your margins, our plugin helps you calculate a "hidden" shipping fee.

  • Price Calculation: You can choose to use your WooCommerce price and add a fixed amount or a percentage markup.

  • Shipping Integration: If your product costs €10.00 and shipping is €4.95, the plugin will automatically send a selling price of €14.95 to bol.com.

  • Overrides: You can set a specific "Bol Price" at the product level to override your global settings.

3. EAN & Reference Codes

  • EAN Code: Mandatory for all listings. This 13-digit barcode identifies the product in bol.com’s database, linking it to existing images and descriptions.

  • Reference Code: This is your internal identifier. By default, the plugin maps this to your WooCommerce SKU.

4. Stock Management

The plugin ensures your inventory levels are always accurate through three-way synchronization:

  1. Manual Change: Updating stock in WooCommerce pushes the change to bol.com.

  2. Webshop Sale: A WooCommerce order automatically reduces bol.com stock.

  3. Marketplace Sale: A bol.com order automatically reduces WooCommerce stock.

5. Shipping Time (Delivery Promise)

This defines the timeframe in which you guarantee delivery. Accuracy is vital, as bol.com issues "penalty points" for late deliveries. Options include:

  • Ordered before [Time]: Delivered the next working day (Choose cut-off times from 12:00 to 23:00).

  • Working Day Ranges: Options ranging from 1-2 days up to 1-8 working days.

6. Product Condition

You must specify the state of the item you are selling. You can choose from:

  • New: Brand new items.

  • As New / Good / Reasonable / Moderate: Various grades for used or refurbished products.
